Representative Ray Weter has successfully handled the following bills on the house floor. All were signed into law by Governor Matt Blunt and are now benefiting the citizens of Missouri.

SB 73   This bill allows county law enforcement agencies to post pictures of registered sex offenders on their websites. A citizen may now look up this information, giving them more tools to help insure the safety of their children.

HB 1601  Representative Weter was the sponsor of this bill and the handler on the house floor. Due to its passage, National Institute of Health sanctioned research in the treatment of patients with critical head injuries may continue in Missouri.

SB 418  The personal needs of patients in long-term care facilities will be more adequately met with passage of this bill.

The passage of these bills in the areas of law enforcement, health care and senior citizen advocacy will benefit some of our most vulnerable citizens.

Ray is proud to have co-sponsored the following bills which were signed into law by the Governor:

HB 1485   This bill increased the support for Pro-Life and Pregnancy Care Centers. With this valuable help available to young women in challenging situations,  choosing life over abortion will be a more attainable option.

HB 1944    This Eminent Domain bill was quoted by the Missouri Farm Bureau as being "perhaps the best eminent domain law in the entire nation." The Farm Bureau also stated: "The result is eminent domain reform that provides new protection for all property owners in the state of Missouri - not just farmers and rural landowners, but urban property owners as well. Missouri is now a leader that other states will look to when it comes to the protection of private property rights."
